For those who missed it last night, my FR-S jumped a raised square median on a divided highway (thankfully no other cars were coming in the other direction, which is where I landed). This was obviously me driving stupidly and do not recommend ever turning off the traction control on a populated road.

I impacted the curb at around 25-30 mph, and thought for sure something broke. However, I just started the car and drove away with some minor scuffs to the tires. Took it to get aligned this morning and have a look at the under carriage. Besides the obvious (it got out of alignment for the toe-in (0.15 deg front driver and -0.24 deg front passenger/ 0.01 deg rear driver and 0.31 deg rear passenger)), no other damage was noted. I think my FR-S just earned it's Ford Raptor qualification.

FR-S = Ford Raptor Sport
Math checks out.

you should really learn to drive that car before you show off with it.... *facepalm* glad both you and the car are ok.

You just used up a big chunk of your luck account. I've been an unfortunate passenger in a number of small coupes ramping curbs and I've seen much worse damage from significantly less dramatic impacts.
Good lesson for relatively minor pain.

Its really not hard to drive a RWD car (especially with the engine up front) without traction control. I recommend taking it to an autocross or two so you can learn to drive it properly, instead of dicking around on a public road. It will only end in disaster. I speak from personal experience here.

Yeah, I really can't get a good feel of it on public roads, for obvious reasons. Good idea on the track.

Not quite sure they qualify as fog lights, they are actually the LED DRL from the Scion Accessories. I was going to send you a link, but I don't see them on their website anymore. They were preinstalled by the dealer and were just part of the deal.

I thought the rear alignment was non adjustable. Did they swap out any bent parts?

Nope, but there is an offset washer that can adjust it.

Man, traction control must be nice.

Agreed, RWD with no computer nannies isn't that bad.

I got screwed my a suv hog and motored over a curb at 10mph in a parking lot with the BRZ. I know I should be shot. Didnt seem to do anything even to allign. Allign was out a little bit but they aren't anywhere close to perfect from the factory.

I'm a Subaru man sti and brz, but I've had a built mustang, and also have a c2, and s4.
The stock tires are poopy in anything but dry. Just as bad as sti re70 in the wet they use to have.

Get some Michelin super sports and you won't have to worry.
